VCO contains a variety of fatty acids and has a good concentration of Vitamin E, Vitamin K, iron, polyphenols, proteins, lipoproteins, and moisture. A significant portion of the VCO is made up of lauric acid that is known for its ability to protect the body and skin from the attacks of harmful Bacteria, Viruses, Yeast, Fungi, and Parasites. The lipid components of VCO from its active individual fatty acids are excellent Anti-bacterial and anti-microbial agents. Coconut oil is a high lathering component and if used independently in soaps, it may lead to drying of skin.
