FAQ

We wanted a soap that produced proven natural action on the skin with a minimal load on Mother Nature. In the market, we struggled to find a soap that we could feel good about using on ourselves and our families. Most soaps for dry and oily skin were either made with synthetic chemicals like Sodium Lauryl sulfate and Propylene Glycol or curated with artificial fragrances and chemical preservatives. Even the so-called natural, organic and handmade herbal soaps may not be 100% natural, as they may contain artificial chemicals or synthetic fragrances. Therefore, we crafted CAMIA with love and nature. CAMIA is rooted in science and embellished by traditions. The mystic natural fragrances used in CAMIA Handmade Organic Soaps for dry and oily skin have a fascinating legacy of use for cleansing and curing dating back to medieval times.
Most commercial soaps for dry and oily skin available in the market may fall under the category of detergents, or maybe a mixture of soaps and detergents. They usually contain artificial colors, fragrances, and preservatives that could irritate the skin temporarily or cause perennial problems like dry skin, wrinkles, and rigidity. Away from herbal handmade organic soaps, chemical soaps contain Propylene glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Lauryl sulfate (SLS), etc., which are non-biodegradable and may be harmful to humans and the environment. Next time you are buying soap for dry and oily skin, please read the ingredient label carefully. And do not forget to check out the benefits offered by handmade organic soaps in contrast to your regular chemical soap for dry and oily skin.
Many companies use mass-produced soap bases to make handmade soaps. The soap base may contain ingredients that may or may not be natural. Additionally, when the soap base is melted at very high temperatures for mixing with natural ingredients, these natural ingredients lose their integrity and beneficial properties. Honest organic handmade soaps for dry and oily skin are made from scratch, with controlled ingredients and customized processes that unlock the full potential of cold-pressed organic oils and elevate natural fragrances, and hence are regarded as the best soaps for dry skin and skin whitening.
Milling is a high-temperature mechanized process where soap flakes are pressed using rollers while different ingredients are added intermittently while the roller is in motion. The milled mixture is continuously heated to remove excess moisture through evaporation. The heat produced in milling may alter the properties and functionality of ingredients, even if cold-pressed organic ingredients are used. On the contrary, Handmade soap making is moderately mechanized. The ingredients in herbal handmade organic soaps undergo a cold process, which ensures the preservation of their nutrients, vitamins, and enzymes in handmade soaps. Handmade organic soaps have a reputation for being more nourishing and richly moisturizing.
Essential oils are naturally aromatic oils that are known to have curing and cleansing properties when used within permissible limits. The ancients found many uses for essential oils, notably as cosmetic solutions, antimicrobials, memory boosters, and sleep inducers. Essential oils may also provide a refreshing, subtle aromatherapy experience during a bath or shower. Most essential oils are extracted through a steam distillation process from flowers, nuts, bark, or other parts of aromatic plants.
We use certified organic oils, natural salts, and plant essential oils (as fragrances) to make our herbal handmade and organic soaps. Keep opened soap in a cool, dry place: Find a cool, dry place for your CAMIA handmade soap. Avoid areas with a lot of moisture, like right next to the shower or sink. Too much moisture can make the soap soft or dissolve faster. Camia soaps are rich in natural Glycerine, which attracts and retains moisture on the soap, just like it does on the skin. Use a well-drained soap dish: Choose a well-drained soap dish or tray. This will help your CAMIA handmade soap dry out completely between uses. Avoid dishes that pool water around the bottom of the soap. Let the soap breathe: You could let your CAMIA handmade soap breathe between uses by avoiding containers and wraps that are airtight, or made with non-breathable materials. Keep away from direct sunlight: Too much sunlight can fade the beautiful colours and scents of your CAMIA handmade soap, as Camia soaps are made without preservatives or synthetics. Opt for a spot away from direct sunlight to keep your soap. Avoid heat sources: Keep your CAMIA handmade soap away from radiators, heaters, or anything that gets too hot. Excessive heat can deform the soap, dry out its nutrients, and make them less effective on the skin.
